ST.HELENS S.A.C.
St.Helens Sea Angling Club was formed by workers from st.helens glass works back in the early 1970s. Venues at that time where restricted to mainly the east coast for wrecking trips and Wales for shore fishing. After some time members started visiting venues in Scotland and eventually trips to the south coast. The club has never been a big club but has always had emphases on being a friendly one.
Todays club is not unlike the club from the 70s, still a small friendly one, and all members encouraged to take an active roll in the running of the club. Our boat venues consist of a five day trips to thurso, Dartmouth plaice fishing on the skerries banks and also wrecking, Bristol channel fishing for rays, Aberdovey for tope and black bream,Holyhead for specie hunts, Conway general fishing, and Liverpool up tiding for cod in winter. Our shore venues are from mid Wales into marks in Cumbria, with most fishing done in and around Anglesey in the summer months.
We as a club are looking for new members . We are affiliated to the WELSH FEDERATION OF SEA ANGLERS and all are welcome, novices and experienced fishermen alike. With fortnightly meetings held at the Ravenhead club, St.Helens. So if you are interested in shore or boat angling why not e-mail or use one of the pages to get info...
